Adriana Lima

This popular Brazilian glamour model and actress, was born as Adriana Francesca
Lima on 12th June, 1981 in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. The unique face of Victoria's
Secret was raised by her mother, Maria da Graça Lima, social worker. Her
father, Nelson Torres, separated from his wife and Adriana when she was 6
months old. At the age of 15, she was spotted by Ford Supermodel of the World
contest and won second place. This victory gave her opportunity to sign with
Elite Model Management for the fashion designer Anna Molinari's clothing line.
Fashion editorial work in international editions of Vogue and Marie Claire and
the catwalks for designers such as Vera Wang, Giorgio Armani and Valentino
gave her worldwide success. She established herself by doing more print work
for Maybelline, Bebe, Mossimo, BCBG and appeared on over more high fashion
magazines (Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue).

She became a sensation after her mega contract with the Italian cellphone carrier

Telecom Italia Mobile. In 1999 her first fashion show for the company Victoria’s

Secret gave her supermodel status.

All the magazines and newspapers were filled with rumors of her high-profile
relationships with Lenny Kravitz and with Major League Baseball player Derek
Jeter. . In June 2008, she married to Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić, with
whom she blessed with two daughters Valentina Lima Jarić and Sienna.
