Carrie Underwood


This talented singer began as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol.
She was born as Carrie Marie Underwood on 10th March, 1983 to her parents
Steve & Carole Underwood. From early childhood she had strong love for music.
With the stunning performance in a church choir her journey of life towards the
music world was started and that was the stepping stone. After that she climbed
up the ladder of success by performing at every occasion, be it county fair, school
event and musical production, talent competition, or car show. From the very
beginning she became famous without any professional training. She always
sang from the bottom of heart and never gave priority to take it as a career. She
completed her schooling from the Checotah High School., followed by a bachelor
degree in mass communication at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah,
Oklahoma .The show “American Idol” opened a new door in her life. Her stunning
performances with her uniquely country-infused style made her rose to the fame
as a winner.

4 as the winner, in 2007 Saturday Night Live, in 2010 How I Met Your
Mother, Sesame Street, The Buried Life, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,
in 2011 joined Tony Bennett ‘s Blue Bloods, in 2012 joined Steven Tyler ‘s
CMT's Crossroads which was the highest-rated episode in seven years.
Her performances in Oprah's Next Chapter and Behind the Music are
outstanding. In 2011 she made her film debut in Soul Surfer as "Sarah Hill".

Her album Some Hearts, Carnival Ride, Play On, Blown Away all became
international hits.

Her inspiration

At the young age of 3, she performed with the local church and since then
the carols became inspiration of her life. Her family, especially her mother
influenced her life very much. Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts all
are her other inspiration.
