Liu Yi Fei

This inborn artistic talent was born as An Feng in Tongji Hospital in Hubei on 25 th
August, 1987. She is daughter of An Shaokang, a 1st Secretary in the Chinese
Embassy in France and French language university professor, and Liu Xiaoli, a
dancer and a stage performer. After her parents divorce she was raised alone by
her mother. At the age of eight she started her career in modeling and joined
in singing, dancing and piano classes. When Liu was 11 years old, she moved to
New York City and lived there for four years. To pursue her career in acting they
returned to China and after several weeks she got the opportunity to enroll her
name into the Performance Institute of Beijing Film Academy and from there she
graduated in 2006.

In 2002 after getting into Beijing Film Academy, she was chosen to star in a TV
drama, “Story of a Noble Family”, following the role of Wang Yuyan in Demi-
Gods and Semi-Devils, a drama based on the same-titled novel by the acclaimed
martial arts writer, Jinyong. Her fame catapulted to a new level with the Chinese
audience. Her other unforgettable television performances are Chinese Paladin,
Doukou Nianhua, The Return of the Condor Heroes. Some of her films were-
Love of May, The Love Winner, Abao De Gushi, The Forbidden Kingdom, Love In
Disguise, A Chinese Ghost Story, White Vengeance, The Four, The Assassins. Her
upcoming releases - The Four II, The Four III.

• In Music

Besides acting she also focused in music and obtained a recording contract with
Sony Music Entertainment Japan in August 2005. Since then she has started
studying singing and dancing in Japan. In August 2006 her album Liu Yifei was
released regionally in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and throughout South-

East Asia. The teen sensation achieved wide fame for her diverse music repertoire
including rap and soft rock.

She always proved to everyone that her maturity is beyond her age and her
performance. She is not stunningly beautiful, but she’s definitely cute and has the
like-ability factor. It is hard for anyone, any ages or gender to not like a girl like Yi
Fei.
