Parineeti Chopra
One of the preeminent young stars in Bollywood, never thought being an actor
or to be the center of attention. She always wanted to become an investment
banker. But destiny had other plans for the youngstar. This multi-talent was born
on 12th May 1988, in into a Punjabi family in Ambala, Haryana. She is the daughter
of Pawan Chopra, a business man and supplier of the Indian Army and her mother
is Reena Chopra, She grew up with her two brothers. The supermodel and actress
Priyanka Chopra is her cousin. She completed her schooling at the Convent of
Jesus and Mary, in the Ambala Cantonment, followed by a triple honours degree
in Business, Finance and Economics from the Manchester Business School in the
UK. In 2009 she returned to India as she was unable to get a job due to economic
recession. She had no interest in Mumbai if the recession had not happened.
She wanted to do an internship for a short time and then return to the UK. She
associated with the film production company Yash Raj Films and worked as a PR
consultant in the marketing department and coordinating interviews for other
actors. After observing actors at close range, she changed her mind and focused
on acting as a career.
Her performance:-
Parineeti’s career in acting began after interacting with director Maneesh
Sharma who chose her in his second project Ladies VS Ricky Bahl in a
supporting role alongside Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. In this film
her role was touching yet restrained.
Beautiful reviews were showered upon Parineeti for her outstanding
performance in her second release, the romantic drama Ishaqzaade
opposite newcomer Arjun Kapoor, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed
by Habib Faisal. Arjun and Parineeti’s on-screen chemistry are widely
accepted in this film.
We are waiting for the films; she just has signed on outside the Yash Raj
Films banner for Besharam opposite Ranbir Kapoor, directed by Abhinav
Kashyap, and Aurangzeb opposite Arjun Kapoor, their second film after
Ishaqzaade.
Her stunning performances with wonderful screen presence and free acting made
her rose to the fame as a winner of eight awards including the Filmfare Award
for Best Female Debut, the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female,
the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut, the Apsara Award for Best Female
Debut, the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female and the IIFA Award for
Best Supporting Actress, the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer -
Female, with several nominations for Best Supporting Actress awards from the
very beginning of her career.
