She is widely known for her television roles on Teachers, Alias, The L Word, Life.
Being the National Football League cheerleader and a great-great-granddaughter
of the 19th-century Persian Shah, she gained huge recognition and, of course,
fame comes behind. This popular American actress was born on 10th January,
1980 in Euless, Texas to Iranian father, Abbas Shahi, and a Spanish mother, known
as Mahmonir, who was an interior designer.

Her parents separated when she was 10. Shahi joined Trinity High School and
later where, in Dallas' Southern Methodist University, majoring in English and
Theater. In her school days she was captain of the volleyball and basketball teams
and has a brown belt in karate.

She is fluent in Sarah English, Farsi and some Spanish.

In her personal life she married to actor Steve Howey on 7th February, 2009, in
Las Vegas and on July 8, 2009 the couples were blessed with their first child, son
William Wolf Howey.

As a teenager, her appearance on several beauty contests and especially in 1997
after winning the Miss Fort Worth USA pageant, she became headlines. But
she wanted to make it big in the glamour world. She joined the Dallas Cowboys
cheerleaders and was part of the 1999-2000 squad. She also appeared on the
cover of their 2000 calendar.

She became known and popular with worldwide audiences, following her roles
in legal drama Fairly Legal which began January 2011 on the USA Network
and Young Justice, in HBO's "The Sopranos" in 1999 as "Jenny" in "Alias" in
2001,as "Sadia Shaw" in "Dawson's Creek" in 1998, (2001), as "Carmen de la Pica
Morales" in the Showtime series, "The L Word" in 2004.Once she was confused
about the role, but now considers it her dream role. She was also the first ghost

in "Supernatural" in 2005, Sleeper Cell in 2006, the CW paranormal drama series
in 2007 in the Season 6b episode, "The Sopranos: Kennedy and Heidi (#6.18)"
as "Sonya Aragon", a stripper and college student who spends a weekend with
Tony after a death in his family, in the Jackie Chan film, Rush Hour 3 in 2007, in
the same year She also starred with Damian Lewis in the NBC show, "Life" , Psych
in 2010.
Shahi has been named no. 90 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100 of 2005" list
and moved up to no. 66 in 2006 , to no. 36 in 2012. She appeared on the cover
of Maxim's 2012 'TV's Hottest Girls' Issue in October 2012. She ranked no. 5 on
the AfterEllen.com hot list in 2007.
