Asin
outstanding performance with her debut “Ghajini" opposite Aamir Khan was
the remake of her breakthrough film of the same name and grabbed the Best
Female Debut Filmfare award that year. The meaning of her name “pure and
without blemish" appropriately goes to her beauty. The success of the very first
step of the ladder inspired her to perform even better than her first Hindi film.
The South import Asin was born on 26th October 1985, to Joseph and Seline
Thottumkal.Her father managed several businesses whereas her sergeon mother,
Seline Thottumkal moved settlements from Kochi to Chennai to Mumbai to live
with her daughter. She completed her schooling from Navy Children School and
St. Teresa's School and thereafter she graduated in English Literature from St.
Teresa's College for Women in Kochi.
Her proficiency in a wide range of languages such as Malyalam, Tamil, Telugu,
Hindi, Sanskrit, English help her in film career. She may well be the only Indian
actress with a Blogspot in French.

In 2001 at the age of only 16, she got her first break in
a Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. After her initial
success, in 2004 she appeared back to back in 2 Telugu movies as an
actress, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi opposite Ravi Teja and her
second Telugu film, Shivamani alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna. Both the
film gave her honor with the Telugu Filmfare Award for Best Actress and
theSantosham Best Actress Award for her performance.

largest film till date.
Now Asin opted to move into Bollywood and her first film, Ghajini became
the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2008 and sixth highest-grossing
Bollywood film of all time according to net collections.
In Vipul Shah's London Dreams costarred with Salman Khan and Ajay
Devgan, received moderate response.
In 2011 her first film Kaavalan which released on 15 January 2011 was a
critical and commercial success.
The on-screen chemistry between Salman and Asin was praised in her next
movie with Salman Khan, Ready which was released on 3rd June 2011.
In 2012, in Sajid Khan's Housefull 2 alongside Akshay Kumar became the
third major success for Asin after Ghajini and Ready in Bollywood, which
collected more than 100 crore (US$18.9 million) in the domestic market.
The eternal beauty had been constantly busy with all the promotional activities
and shooting for her upcoming movies. So after a hectic schedule of the year, the
actress has finally decided to go to Europe for a quick vacation.
After two back-to-back successful films Housefull 2 and Bol Bachchan this year
she even started work on Khiladi 786 and after Europe trip, will resume shooting
for Khiladi 786 as soon as she gets back".
Still now she too desire for a platform where she can get a chance to perform
by digging her teeth into a fleshy character and too looking forward to a film
which is in a commercial format and allows her to perform to an even better
characterization than 'Ghajini'.
Her fresh and photogenic looks with brilliant acting skills fetched the audience in
