Monica Bellucci

This popular Italian actress and fashion model gain world wide reorganization
through her earthy sensuality in a wide variety of films in both Europe and
America. She was born as Monica Anna Maria Bellucci in Citta di Castello,
a township in the northern part of the Umbria region in Italy, on Sept. 30 th
September, 1964 and as the only child of Luigi Bellucci, who owned a trucking
company, and his wife, Maria Gustinelli, a painter.

Originally she wanted to establish herself in the legal profession but while
attending the University of Perugia, she modeled on the side to earn money for
school, and this inclined her to modeling career.

She is proficient in four languages: Italian, French, English and (some) Persian.

She married to French actor Vincent Cassel, with whom she has appeared in
several films and the couple was blessed with two daughters, Deva and Leonie.

At the age of 13 she began her modeling career and her first approach was by
posing for a local photo enthusiast. Apart from her performances in acting world,
fashion world also know her by her prominence as a fashion model in Paris and
across the Atlantic, in New York City. She signed with Elite Model Management,
Dolce & Gabbana and French Elle. In 2001Esquire's feature on Desire featured
her on the cover and in an article on the five senses. In 2003, she was featured in
Maxim and in Men's Health she was named as "100 Hottest Women of All-Time",
ranking her at No. 2. In 2002 AskMen named her the number one most desirable
woman in 2002.

The Italian sex symbol was the face of a range of Dior products from 2006 to 2010
and in 2012 she became the new face of Dolce & Gabbana.

She became the hottest topic of gossip for posed nude for the Italian Vanity Fair
Magazine in protest against Italian laws that prevent the use of donor sperm and
later posed pregnant and semi-nude again for the magazine's April 2010 issue.

As an actress

In addition to her much interest in modeling, she also possesses the desire and
skill to act. In 1990 she made her acting debut opposite Giancarlo Giannini
in the Italian TV movie, "Vita coi figli" Her career as an actress expanded with
Bram Stoker's Dracula in 1992, L'Appartement and in the French thriller, The
Apartment in 1996, Malèna and Under Suspicion in 2000, Brotherhood of the
Wolf, and Irréversible in 2002. She fetched the audiences from Europe and
Hollywood like Tears of the Sun and), The Matrix Reloaded in 2003, The Passion
of the Christ in 2004, The Brothers Grimm in 2005, Le Deuxième souffle in 2007,
Don't Look Back in 2009, The Sorcerer's Apprentice in 2010.

She is also popular for her own voice in the French and Italian releases of the film
Shoot 'Em Up, in the video game Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and the French
voice of Cappy for the French version of the 2005 animated film Robots, Manual
of Love 3" , an Italian-made romance co-starring Robert De Niro and That Summer
in 2011, Rhino Season in 2012. Her devoted fans are waiting for her upcoming
releases- Des gens qui s'embrassent.

She got several nomination out of which in 2003 she won Italian National
Syndicate of Film Journalists: Silver Ribbon for Best Supporting Actress and Italy:
European Golden Globe in 2005

Bellucci is considered as director’s actress as most directors cast her for her
physical qualities, some European directors understood the breadth of her
talent that led them to allow her to explore emotional territory that many other
actresses might have avoided.
