This multi-talented Canadian film as well as television actress dragged the
entertainment world through her talent, confidence and personal hardships. She
is best known for her portrayal of the character Kim Bauer in the FOX action-
thriller series 24.

This young sensation was born on 30th November, 1982 in Canada to her father
Kevin, an automotive design engineer and her mother of Patricia, a homemaker.
She brought up in Montreal, Quebec with her younger brother Jonathan and
sister Lee-Ann.

In 2000, she completed her graduation from Centennial Regional High School and
after that at the age of only 17; she relocated to Los Angeles to train herself for
acting world.

In her personal life she is widely speculated by media for her whirlwind
relationship with Canadian NHL player Sean Avery and captain of the Toronto
Maple Leafs, Dion Phaneuf.

Her Performance:

At the age of 9 she began her modeling career and her first approach was for
children's clothing and also became a foot model. In 1991 on television she first
appeared for minor role in "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" That gave her in 1999
regular role of Megan.

For 3 years she performed as co-host of the children's television series Popular
Mechanics for Kids with Jay Baruchel. Her way of reporting fetched the attention
of Hillary Clinton in White House.

In 1997, she got her first debut in the family drama Dancing on the Moon and
the next year in Airspeed. In 2001, she got her biggest break in the television
series "24" followed by the role in Old School in 2003.

Her other touching roles are Love Actually, The Girl Next Door, House of Wax,
The Quiet, Captivity, He Was a Quiet Man, My Sassy Girl, Guns, The Six Wives of
Henry Lefay.

Recently she is working in the comedy series Happy Endings.

She is also popular for her music videos – in 2005 as lead in Perfect Situation, in
2006 as Popular girl in
Nothing in This World and in 2012 as lead in Here Comes My Man.

Her achievements:

She got several nominations. She was nominated Teen Choice Awards in 2003 as
TV Breakout Star for 24, in 2005 for Movie Actress: Action/Adventure/Thriller for
House of Wax and for Choice Movie Rumble and in 2007 Choice Movie Actress:
Horror/Thriller for Captivity, In 2003 she was nominated by Screen Actors Guild
Awards for her Outstanding Performance , in 2005 she also got nomination for
this award for the drama series 24.In 2005 she got nomination for The Girl Next
Door in the category Best Breakthrough Performance and Best Kiss. In 2001, she
was honored with Gemini Award for her awesome performance in the television
movie Lucky Girl.
She was ranked in FHM and Maxim's annual "hottest women" lists. In 2008, she
got highest ranking in that year’s UK Edition of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the
World list.
